There is an art site I frequent and when looking under the photomanipulation category it is nothing compared to the work of these guys who do it for a living.

I stumbled upon Thomas Herbrich site some time ago and it was the first time I came across anything like this. Yes you see ads in magazines but you never really think about all the work that goes into it and what I enjoye the most about his site is that he explains how he did each of his photos. I think my favourite is the giraffe crossing the bridge with the child in Portfolio 2.

I discovered Simon Burch through browsing Saddington & Baynes. His commissioned work is similar to the type of work Herbrich does although he compiles his photographs through working with S&B. Check out his site, I really liked Book 03, his Southern States series.

Last but not least: Saddington & Baynes who, in their own words “has been at the forefront of digital post-production from the very outset and our unique approach to the complexities of advertising photography has earned us an unrivalled reputation for creative problem solving.” has helped create beautiful seemless work. (Some of the work in their showcase is also set up to show you how it was compiled.)
